2013 Edison Awards

The highlight of the year is the annual Edison Awards program presented each spring, which encompasses several events over a two-day period. This year's event was held April 24-25, 2013 in Chicago, IL.

ENRICHED // Meet the Innovators Forum

April 25 - The popular program was enriched with an exciting new format, including roundtable discussions, facilitated group case study exercises, organized networking, panel discussions, innovator presentations and more. The agenda was designed to that will stimulate thinking and create opportunities for attendees to make new connections.

EXPANDED // Innovators' Showcase

April 24 & 25 - In response to your feedback, more space and more time was allocated to the Innovators' Showcase, which featured displays of dozens of 2013 Award-winning new innovations. Guests explored the latest and enjoyed one-on-one time with the innovators themselves.

ENHANCED // Edison Awards Gala

April 25 - An exciting new venue created the backdrop to another outstanding evening of Award presentations as the winners of our 2013 Edison Awards were announced. The 2013 Edison Achievement Award was also presented during this black-tie reception and dinner overlooking Chicago's spectacular skyline and Lake Michigan.

Venue for the Meet the Innovators Forum & Innovators' Showcase

This stunning landmark building is one of the most visited attractions in Chicago. It's located on the fabulous Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue) overlooking Millennium Park, the site of the stunning Pritzker Music Pavilion, which was designed by Frank Gehry. The Park is also host to "The Bean" (officially called "Cloud Gate") and the Lurie Garden, and is just steps away from the world-renowned Art Institute of Chicago.

Navy Pier

Venue for the Awards Ceremony & Gala

Located on Lake Michigan, just East of Chicago's Downtown, Navy Pier has been a Chicago landmark since it first opened in 1916. The Pier showcases a unique collection of restaurants and shops in addition to its Grand Ballroom, where the Edison Awards Gala will be held. The ballroom features an 80 foot dome and offers some of the most panoramic views of Lake Michigan and Chicago's skyline to be found anywhere in the city.

Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers

Ideally situated on the Chicago River, the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers is within walking distance of Navy Pier, the Chicago Cultural Center, Magnificent Mile shopping, Millennium Park, the Loop business district and all of the other local favorites that make Chicago a one of a kind destination.
